How it works

Start with a base code
Every KodLokasi code identifies a 10m × 10m grid cell, anchored to your district's administrative boundary.
- 2.
Grid divides into 16 subcells
A 4 × 4 matrix of equal cells, each measuring 2.5m × 2.5m. Numbers are grouped by quadrant - positions can be inferred from the number alone.
- 3.
Append the subcell number
Add +N (1–16) to the end of the base code. Computed mathematically - no server lookup required.
- 4.
Backward compatible
Systems without Plus support simply ignore the +N extension and continue at 10m resolution. No breaking changes.
Verbal communication
In emergency operations, a single number like "+7" can be relayed quickly over radio without ambiguity.
Deterministic computation
The subgrid offset is computed as a fractional division of the base grid. No lookup table. No server call.
